It is interesting to me that although one could move a significant distance, one's displacement could be zero. It got me thinking that in terms of measuring goals, one could end up where they started, but it really is the journey that matters, and that person is never really where they began, because the path they took was a more significant measurement. I always like to relate my lessons back to my own life or the lives of others, because that's how it makes sense to me. This week I learned that a pt graph is a graph that literally measures p - position and t - time. In physics, unlike math, the position along the vertical axis we call x, and the horizontal axis is t or time, not to be confused with the former which is a horizontal position, lol. We generally measure time in seconds and position or distance in meters. Displacement is a net change in position, and unlike distance(which can only be positive), can be positive or negative as it's sign gives us the direction.
