Scalars and vectors are concepts we use all the time even if we never realized it. When we reference speed, temperature, time, any variable of magnitude we have used a scalar, and when we add direction to that magnitude we have unknowingly used a vector. The idea of adding two vectors is entirely new to me, and I haven't found precise or easily understood examples of how to do this, but I'm interested in the idea of adding magnitude and direction to magnitude and direction, although I do not fully understand it. Khanacademy.com is a website I go to for all of my learning needs. The videos usually make learning clear and enjoyable. I actually just used it this past week to orient some new hires in the conduction system and blood flow of the heart. I have also used the handouts which my professor supplied us with, as well as various other google searches that turned up blogs, academic articles, and other videos.
